Task 1: Social Media Analytics

Google Analytics Analysis Report
Attachment 1.1: Google Analytics Analysis Report, Week 2 - 3 (29 April - 6 May 2024)
We worked in Google Docs first as it was easier to fully analyse and conduct research this way first. We seperated our parts in class and did the research in our own time. Once we completed the research, we transferred it all into a deck.

Attachment 3.1: Weekly Work/Progress Tracker, Week 3 - 15 (6 May - 29 July 2024)
It was the Monday of week 3 and our group had yet to confirm a business to work with. We had contacted a few but all had ignored us. So out of desperation, I asked my sister if her friend who owns a coffee truck business in Penang would be interested. He was very quick in saying yes and by Tuesday, we had confirmed our client. I knew we had to move fast though, so we quickly set up a date and time for the kickstart meeting, as Mr Asrizal told us to, and started on our deck and questions.

I realised there was going to be quite alot to do for this class on a weekly basis and plenty of google/canva links going back and fourth in our groupchat. So, I decided to create an organiser for us on google docs so that everything could flow smoothly for us throughout the sem, as seen in Attachment 3.1 above.

Attachment 3.3: Kickstart Meeting Deck, Week 3 - 4 (6 -13 May 2024)
We began with doing some quick research to understand our client and his industry better. The goal was for us to be able to enter our kickstart meeting with a rough idea of what content we could do for him and ask questions that allow us to learn more about him and his business. This was an important step for us as we had to dig out as much information from him as possible in order to come up with more content ideas for his Instagram. We also came up with a questionnaire that he could either answer there and then during the meeting with us, or fill up in his own time. I took notes during the meeting as well and listed it down in a seperate google docs so that if we ever needed to refer to it again, we could. Was also a "just incase" thing if we ever had more meetings in the future and needed to keep track of what was being said in every meeting, a good practise to have no matter what.

Design & Content Ideation

Attachment 4.2: Google Sheets Content Planning, Week 3 - 14 (6 May - 22 July 2024)
We all put in some design styles we thought might be interesting to work with for him. We eventually chose the one that we felt might suit his style the most. In the mean time, we were also slowly filling up ideas in the Content Planning Template Sheet given by Mr Asrizal. We began working on the first draft of our content post so we could get feedback in class on week 5 as well. We currently worked with pictures/videos taken from his Instagram or Facebook pages because we had yet to visit him.

During Week 5 class, we got feedback and guidance on how to proceed with work. We also planned our trip to Penang and booked our selves to go on that Thursday and planned to come back the following Monday. We chose these days/dates based on our client's schedule as well as he was going to be at different locations on different days and even had a coffee workshop at an international school. We were advised to create a shooting schedule to plan out our shoot, which was solid advice so that we would not have to take the trip to Penang more than once. We had a seperate google docs for our weekly notes of feedback/comments from Mr Asrizal as well.

Attachment 4.4: Milanote Shooting Planner, Week 5 - 6 (20 - 27 May 2024)
As we booked our trip to Penang, we realised we had to quickly finish up our content ideas and work on the shooting schedule. So Jia Min, Sheryl and I had a meeting on one night to just work on our ideas together. Phylise was unable to join that night as she had other things going on, so we just updated her on what was done and we seperated the shooting planning between ourselves.

We were not entirely sure of how to start the shooting schedule, so I went on a deep dive on google to find some references. I then stumbled upon Milanote and their template for shooting schedule. It was a gem of a find as I had never heard of Milanote before this, yet it was so easy to pick up and use. The template was also a good start to undedrstanding how to fully utilise the platform and I much preferred this over using Miro (no offense but I hate using Miro). We first began with seperating the content ideas based on what days we could shoot it (based on location of where the coffee truck will be at) and then brought it into Milanote to organise it by the days and details of what to shoot, based on the flow of what the post will contain.

We seperated the content ideas for us to work on and had a PIC for each idea. we were each responsible for planning out every detail to carry out the shoot for the post content and plan out exactly everything we neeeded in order to not miss anything out. Milanote also then helped us organise it clearly, being able to seperate the days of the shoot and the content ideas easily with seperate boards that function as folders and columns that function as artboards/canvas/stickynotes and such. This helped organise our shoots and our trip to Penang ran so smoothly that we ended up having quite abit of free time to enjoy to ourselves as well.

While on our trip working on the shoots, we were discussing how we were going to work on our posts. We mentioned how the statics were okay to be on Canva, but the reels were going to be a challenge if done on Canva as well. We thought of Premiere Pro, but we are not big Premire Pro fans. Someone mentioned Capcut, and I decided to learn how to use it as I have never bothered to use it before, so while trying to figure it out, I decided to make a video of our short trip in Penang.

Content Work & Design
After our trip to Penang, everything continued to run smoothly as we were just left with working on our weekly posts. We mostly worked on creating for the same content idea from our shooting schedule, but there were some we changed around. This was due to some weeks where some would be incharge of more than 1 post, which might be troublesome to work on. So we exchanged working on some of the content ideas in order to split the weekly work progress between us to be more evenly spread across the group and not too heavy for anyone on a specific week.

We had our routine weekly feedback with Mr Asrizal where he would advise us on how we could make some posts better. The progress for each post can be tracked at the weekly post trackers on our google sheets of Content Planning.
